Evonne

Evonne qualified in 2002 with a Masters in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University. This followed on from her Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Physiology in Sports Science. Over the last 19 years Evonne has had extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries. Initially this experience was gained in the NHS. However she then moved to Sydney where for 8.5 years she was clinic manager in a private clinic which was based in one of the biggest gyms in Australia. Since returning to Scotland in 2017, Evonne has worked in the private and public sectors. Evonne is also currently the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. Her current knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries (including orthopaedics) and their management is therefore vast. She prides herself in accurately assessing, diagnosing, and subsequently providing a complete, evidence based, hands on treatment and rehabilitation package for all of her patients.

Evonne has always been active and at times she has pushed her own body to its limits. She played hockey at a highly competitive level, has run several marathons, climbed many mountains, cycled many kilometres and has generally enjoyed moving! Her ability to connect with her patients in a sympathetic and professional manner is based on a passion to keep her patients moving too!

Whether you are an elite athlete, an amateur sportsperson, a recreational gym goer, a corporate worker, a busy professional or a hectic housewife/husband, Evonne’s goal as an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist is to advise you on how to return to your normal activities and treat you in the most effective, efficient and fastest way possible.
